Hey Kids,

It is race week in Greenville and we know you are excited! Hopefully, you are keeping your mind on schoolwork during the day and dreaming of a TRI at night. Just so you know, the water is nice in Baldwin Lake and ready for you to be splashing your way to your bike. Speaking of bikes, have someone check your brakes and tires; and lube your chain. Then get your fastest shoes out for the run. The finish line is waiting just for you and Mr. Tower will be announcing your name on the loud speakers as you cross it.

Then there are snacks, pictures and prizes and hopefully awards waiting for you. The awards for the kids' age groups are as follows: Boys and girls 7-8; 9-10; 11-13; and 14-15 for the first three places. And a travelling trophy for the school with the most kids signed up. The course isn’t too long for kids to compete without training much.

Here are some important things to remember:

  • Packet pick up is on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the upper level of the Greenville Area Community Center, 900 E. Kent Road, Greenville, MI, 48838.
  • If you can’t get here on Friday, you can pick up your packet on Saturday morning, but remember that there is an adult race happening first. Give yourself lots of extra time!
  • If you registered prior to midnight, May 14th, you will be guaranteed your the shirt size you ordered. Registrations received after May 14th will receive shirts on a first-come, first serve basis.
  • When you get your packet, check your colors. The 7-10 group is red and the 11-15 group is green. The swim cap, wrist bands and race numbers should not have a mix of red and green. If they do, please let us know right away.

Turn right on high Street and go west 3 blocks to Marvel, then turn left; go one block to the parking area. Absolutely no parking will be permitted on South Street. You can click here for maps, directions and more parking information to the parking areas. It is approximately 1/3 of a mile walk/ride to the transition.
